All three teams were at home this week, with both men’s teams still looking for their first wins, and the Women’s looking to climb up the league table some more. The Women’s team were first to tip off vs a very strong Brunel team, and unfortunately the game did not play out as intended, with a 15-63 loss. This game is sure to fire up the team to come out fighting in the new year to thoroughly establish their place in 1A.
The men’s 1st were next to play vs Hertfordshire, and although the result was still not that first win, the signs of improvement were positive. The final score was 49-57 to Hearts.
The final game saw the 2nds go up against St Mary’s 1sts. Coming off the heavy defeat the previous week vs Brighton the team gave a much improved performance but were unfortunately beaten 47-53.
Overall a forgettable triple header for the club, in the final week of games before the Christmas break, however the signs are positive, and improvements are occurring all the time, so the club heads towards the new year full of optimism that 2013 will bring the results intended!
