This week featured a double header at home for the Men’s 1st team and Women’s team both playing against Sussex University.
The Men’s first kicked off the day with a tough challenge vs 3rd place in their league, looking for the valuable first victory of the season. A tough game throughout ended in defeat however 61-75 to Sussex.
The women’s then took to the floor, and struggled throughout the first half to keep up with the opposition. The second half however saw an incredible Portsmouth fight back and the Women’s got a thoroughly deserved win 52-48.
With the Home games being split 1-1 it was up to the Men’s 2nd away at Brighton to make it a winning day overall for the club, however after a close first half, foul trouble caused the 2nd’s to finish the game with only 4 players. Brighton ran out winners with an overly flattering scoreline of 100-46.
The two men’s still currently lie bottom of the their respective leagues, whilst the women’s climbed to 3rd.
